I recently went to the Bathhurst show, great show and better then the Easter show. Now in the show is a cool little stall that sells eye contacts that chanages your eye colour. Now thats cool. But the price isnt. $40 for a damn set of contacts that change your eye colour, now under these circumstances of buying something that alters your eyes and having always wanted to test out differnt eye colours I was jumping with glee. The cost was $40 and $100 for 3 sets. Now if that aint damn expensive I dont know what is.
Now Ive gone away and thought about it for a good long while, soon enough I come back say I want "Bright Green" for the missus and "bright Blue" for myself. I have also before this point been assured that the owner of the stall will set aside a bright green pair for myself if I come back. So I pay my $80 for 2 pairs and you think awsome I can now go home with my quality product and stick something in my eye that'll make it look cool. Now dont get me wrong I dont mind paying expensive amounts for a good quality product. The lenses last me 6 months and should be cool to wear out. But I get home. Check the packaging and we test out a green eye one. Its wickedly cool to change your eye colour but something seems sus. Its not as bright as it should be. Bam!
I got the wrong damn colour.
I got a colour thats darker then what I was told and now that just pumpkins me. Ive payed damn good money that Ive earned for an expensive yet cool product and specifically asked for bright green and the bastards give me a darker colour. That pumpkin aint cool because it was also a major decision that the bright green was the best. I aint a happy camper.
So where to go from here? I got some numbers that came with the product I bought with a website that dosnt work and sure as hell Im gonna be calling them numbers tomorrow and demanding that I either get the correct product or a discount because we bought 2 and thought of getting a 3rd but were short on cash. So thats my plan of action, have a whinge to get what I originally was told I was getting and what I originally wanted. Its not asif we could just try the product in that environment because it is unsafe for your eyes.
